What to Expect

Lifeline’s Pure Freedom program is a three-day class offered for students in 5th through 12th grade across Northeast Missouri.

What do other students say about the program?

What will we talk about?

We cover lots of topics in each grade, including:

  • Healthy friendship and relationship skills
  • Identifying abusive relationships
  • Internet and media safety
  • Harmful effects of media on the brain, as well as on relationships and society
  • Personal goal setting
  • Reproductive anatomy
  • Sexually transmitted infections
  • Puberty and hygiene

How is your program different?

The Pure Freedom program is more holistic than many other education programs. We offer a message for optimal health and focus on avoiding risk, not just reducing risk. We empower and educate each student so that they can make the healthiest choices. The program offers relevant information based on the most up-to-date research in a way that is easy to understand and apply to your life.

Is this program boring?

Nope! It’s not just us talking at you. During the program, we’ll ask questions to fuel group discussion and include games, activities, slides, and more.

Can I ask questions?

Absolutely! We encourage students to ask questions during class or talk with us afterward if someone wants to talk one-on-one. We also have an anonymous question box, where students can leave any questions or comments they have about any of the topics we discuss that they might feel uncomfortable asking out loud. Our goal is that everyone gets the information they need without feeling embarrassed in front of their peers.
